News from the Pack – Pasture Pet Summer Edition

Summer’s here, and with it come the long walks, muddy paws, and tail-wagging adventures we love. Whether you’re hiking the trails or looping through the neighborhood, it’s the season for bonding with your furry companions—and keeping some good snacks on hand doesn’t hurt either.

We often hear folks ask: “How do I know if this treat is actually good for my dog?”

Our answer: check the ingredients, the sourcing, and how it’s made. Look for real food—simple, natural stuff you can pronounce. No fillers, no byproducts, no artificial anything. And as always, it matters where it comes from. That’s why we do things a little differently here.

At Pasture Pet, every treat is made right at Maple Wind Farm in Richmond, Vermont. We raise the animals ourselves and turn their meat into single-ingredient, small-batch snacks that pets go crazy for. From our pasture to your pack—it’s a closed loop, and we wouldn’t do it any other way.

One of our favorite products this season is the Chicken Trainers—perfect little nuggets for training or everyday rewarding. Our friend Liz, who runs PathpawsVT, a dog-walking pack based in Hinesburg, says they’re a lifesaver on the trail. “Line ups happen a lot quicker with Pasture Pet’s nibs as a motivator!” she told us. And she should know—she’s wrangling up to a dozen pups at a time. (See the photo—those are some seriously good dogs!)

We also make chicken and turkey jerky, dehydrated chicken liver, and crunchy chicken feet. All made with pasture-raised meat from our farm and absolutely nothing else.

You can order treats online for pickup at our farm store or have them shipped anywhere in the U.S. If your pets are anything like ours, they’ll go through these fast—so we also offer a subscribe and save option so you never run out.

Thanks for supporting real food for pets. We love making these treats, and we love knowing your animals are thriving because of them.

Come see what we’re about at pasturepet.com, and tag us @pasture_pet with photos of your pets enjoying their snacks. We’d love to feature your pack in the next newsletter.

Until next time,

—The team at Pasture Pet (and your friends at Maple Wind Farm)
