About Maple Wind Farm

Maple Wind Farm is a pasture-based livestock farm founded in 1999. We produce pasture-raised, non-GMO chicken, eggs, pork, and turkey in Richmond and Bolton, VT and operate a USDA-inspected processing facility that serves 30+ small producers across 6 Northeast states.

About The Role

Our seasonal staff take part in the entire field-to-plate journey, from working in the pastures with diverse livestock to hands-on experience in the processing facility. Ideal crew members possess a positive attitude, a sense of humor, flexibility, and a strong interest in regenerative agriculture.

Farm Culture & Location

Prior seasonal employees describe the team as “dedicated”, “hard-working”, and “goofy.” Our foundational principles are integrity and mutual respect. Located 20 minutes from Burlington, VT with easy access to outdoor pursuits.

Position Logistics

  • Duration: Seasonal, early May through late November
  • Schedule: 4-day workweek for full-time staff (10-hour days, 7 AM – 5 PM)
  • Hours: Full-time and part-time available

Benefits & Compensation

Hourly Wage: $17–$18/hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and carry 30–50 pounds regularly

Our drivers safely transport and deliver our products to farm stands, homes, restaurants, grocery stores, and institutional customers in Chittenden County, Waterbury, Stowe, and Montpelier.

Responsibilities

  • Drive our medium-duty refrigerated truck on assigned delivery routes
  • Load (AM) and unload (PM) the delivery truck
  • Handle perishable, bulky, or fragile food products
  • Obtain customer sign-offs on paper invoices

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs and carry boxes short distances
  • Willingness to operate a truck in most weather conditions
  • 18+ years old, valid driver's license, clean MVR
