More Than a Farm,
A Community Asset
At Maple Wind Farm, everything begins in the soil. From microbes beneath our feet to the meals on your table, we’re part of a living system that connects land, animals, and people.
We believe a farm should be more than a business — it should be a community asset. That means nourishing families with healthy food, supporting other local farmers, and keeping Vermont agriculture strong for the long run.
Decades of Regenerative Leadership
For 27 years, Maple Wind Farm has grown from a family dream into a cornerstone of Vermont agriculture. We’ve raised animals on pasture since the beginning, built on-farm processing to serve farmers across the state, and shared our experience nationally as leaders in regenerative agriculture.
What started small has become a hub for food, knowledge, and community.
Environmental Health
Our daily rotations regenerate the land, build soil, and protect Vermont’s waters. We’re part of just 1.5% of U.S. farms raising chickens on true pasture — giving animals space to thrive and ecosystems a chance to heal.
Regenerative agriculture isn’t just about food; it’s about leaving the land better than we found it.
Nutrient-Dense by Nature
Better farming means better food. Pasture-raised meats are nutrient-dense, with a healthier balance of omega-3s and omega-6s — and flavor you can taste at the table.
Families tell us our chicken and beef don’t just taste different — they feel better eating it. That’s what food is supposed to do: nourish body and soul.
Nothing Goes to Waste
Nothing goes to waste here. Organs and bones that used to leave the farm now become Pasture Pet treats, giving dogs across Vermont a healthier snack and keeping nutrients in use.
Compost, manure, even wastewater are cycled back to the land — building fertility instead of filling landfills. Regeneration means closing loops.

The Bigger Picture
The truth is, small farms like ours are working within a system that wasn’t built for regeneration. Land is priced beyond reach, regulations are written for mega-processors, and farmers are asked to carry the full weight of repairing broken ecosystems—while competing against a commodity model that cuts corners
Incremental change isn’t enough. What’s needed is transformation. And transformation only happens when communities step in—by choosing to buy from local farms, by investing in the future of real food, and by restoring the connection between land and table.
Farmers can’t do it alone. The missing link is you—the customer, the neighbor, the community investor. Together, we can build a food system that truly values health, land, and the people who steward both.
