Homemade Chicken Nuggets


Chicken Mixture

  • 1 pound ground chicken

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper


  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ¾ tsp garlic powder

  • ¾ tsp onion powder

  • ¾ tsp paprika

  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese (optional, but delicious)

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

  2. Combine and mix the breadcrumbs and spices in a dish with low sides.

  3. Combine the chicken mixture ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined.

  4. Beat the 2 eggs in a small bowl.

  5. Set up your nugget station! You will need your ground chicken bowl, beaten eggs and breadcrumb mix.

  6. Using clean hands, for the ground chicken into nuggets, or balls, or whatever shape you desire. Be sure not to make them too big or thick to ensure even cooking. Coat each nugg with the egg mixture, then roll it in the breadcrumbs.

  7. Add your breaded nuggies to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake nuggets for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. If using a meat thermometer you should see the temp hit at least 165 degrees.

  9. Dip and enjoy!
